Fiber Optic Works provides OTDR, IOLM, and optical power meter testing for telecommunications and broadband networks. We use test results to document new builds, isolate faults, verify repairs, confirm light levels, and support customer acceptance requirements.

OTDR and IOLM testing

Event-based testing helps identify splice loss, reflectance, breaks, bends, connectors, and distance to network events. Results can be organized by fiber, direction, wavelength, segment, or customer-required naming convention.

Optical power measurements

Power meter testing verifies received light at cabinets, terminals, splitters, and customer-facing network points. Readings can be paired with field photos and location information for closeout.

Troubleshooting and characterization

When a route has low light, excessive loss, or an unknown event, we combine test data with field tracing and enclosure inspection to narrow the problem and support an efficient correction.
